Download VocaVista beta

VocaVista helps blind and low-vision people follow shared screens in Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet by describing the shared window aloud as its content changes. It processes what it sees on your Mac, rather than sending a meeting screen to a cloud service.

This is an early beta for testers. It is not yet a finished product, and we want to hear about what works, what does not, and where it needs to improve.

Download VocaVista for Mac

Beta for testers · Apple Silicon Mac · macOS 14.4 or later

VocaVista uses AI to describe what it sees. It can make mistakes. Check anything important before you act on it.

The installer walks you through it: open the downloaded file, then follow the steps. It puts VocaVista in your Applications folder for you — there is nothing to drag.

Requirements

Install with VoiceOver

  1. Open the downloaded installer. macOS opens the Installer app.
  2. Move through the installer with Continue, then Install. You will be asked for your Mac password, which macOS requires to install any app into Applications.
  3. Open VocaVista from Applications. Because the app is notarized, you do not need the right-click Open workaround. macOS will confirm that the app was checked by Apple.
  4. When macOS asks for Screen Recording permission, choose to allow it. VoiceOver focus will move to the relevant place in System Settings. Enable VocaVista there, then return to the app if macOS asks you to quit and reopen it.
